Meet Greg Broesder Dr Greg Broesder graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1985. Following graduation Greg left Adelaide to work In Mildura, Victoria for 15 months. From there He headed north looking to further his experience, and moved to Mount Isa where he managed a practice on his own for 3 years. In that time he met his wife Dr. Merrilee Frankish. From Mount Isa they moved to Cairns , Merrilee working at Cairns base Hospital and Greg working at the Wallamurra Medical Centre. Greg worked at Wallamurra for Dr Rob Lucas for 6 months, and then took over running of the Weipa and Cooktown branch practices for 9 months. Around this time Greg began setting up his practice in Mareeba. He commenced practice in Mareeba in 1990 under the name of Greg Broesder Dental Surgery. In 2005 the practice changed name to Mareeba Dental Centre. Over this time frame Greg has held numerous positions on committees relating to dentistry and non dental interests. Currently Greg is President of the Australian Society of Computerised Dentistry (last year was Treasurer), and is also on the board of QITE, a not for profit organization based in Mareeba. He is a member of the endodontic society, Austraslian Laser Society, Australian Society of Computerised dentistry, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy . The practice is kept up to date with the latest in technologies. If they will be of benefit to the overall treatment for the patient, then the practice looks to take on the learning required to incorporate the technology. Most recent advances in the practice have been lasers, cerec and orthopantogram x ray machine. Greg has two children attending school in Mareeba. Greg is keenly interested in fishing, basketball and golf in no particular order.
